STREET STYLE WEDNESDAY

So for the past week or so. I’ve been surfing the net as usual and there’s been lots of events and lots of stylish people attending those events. I’ve been inspired by their stylishness(if there is a word like that lol) and decided to share a compilation of  my fave looks from the many events. From movie premieres to tea parties and launch parties you can tell that some cities just don’t sleep(eg Lagos).

I don’t know what the trend is at the moment but from the pictures, I see people in  floral prints, bright colors, pastel and lovely jumpsuits.

CREATING YOUR OWN BEAUTY REGIMENT/STYLE FILES

Hey people! I’ve spent some time researching on how to use homemade ingredients  to create your own beauty product. Yesterday i experimented with lemons, honey, milk, egg whites and coffee to create a face mask.  I put the mix on my face and let it sit there for like thirty minutes until my face was tight and masked up and then i rinsed. It left my face feeling really soft and my skin plump. Sometimes its good to get away from those chemical induced products  and use organic ingredients which produce the same results and maintain the natural state of the skin.  Lemon is  a great skin toner, honey moisturizes the skin and makes it soft, milk is an awesome regenerating skin regiment and also gently exfoliates revealing soft  silky skin, egg whites tightens the skin and coffee  exfoliates the skin.

I juiced the lemons and mixed with the honey and powdered milk while waiting for my eggs to boil. Once done i peeled the egg whites from the yoke and mixed it with the honey, milk and lemons. I made sure to chop it into itty bity pieces and when i got fed up i threw the big pieces of the egg whites away. The final mix to the bunch was coffee i mixed it in the end.  At the end of this mix you should have a somewhat thick paste to apply to your face. Once applied wait a full thirty minutes or longer just until your face feels tight and caked and then you can wash it off, revealing softer silky and more radiant skin.

Don’t mind the spill lol you could use a bigger cup to mix.

NIGERIAN CELEBRITIES ON THE RED CARPET

I really must  say that I did love what some of the celebrities wore at the Ebony life tv launch last week. Most of them were show casing lovely pieces from Nigerian designers and Stylists. Which I thought was absolutely awesome. Finally we are embracing our own. Let me dispense with the chit chat and show you the photos already LOL.

One of my favorite outfits of the event.  She looks like a Grecian goddess/princess. Very lovely. Munachi Abii in Tiannah Styling.

Dolapo Oni in Mi-le.  Very pretty suits her and I love the color against her skin.

Eku Edewor in Clan. From the neck piece to the to the purse, the strapped heels and finally the dress! I must say she totally nailed it.

Toolz in Liam Fashion Agency. Maybe she wore yellow to match with the yellow carpet event. Either way she does look adorable in This outfit. Showing off her curves in the right way.

Rita Dominic gorgeous as ever wearing a mono top and mini. All put together nicely.

She’s not wearing a dress and she still Looks pretty good.

Genevieve Nnaji in Deola Sagoe. I have a love-hate relationship for this outfit. It does look nice but it doesn’t but yet it does. How do I put it. Okay, that  extra material on her waist and bottom  makes the outfit look a bit peacokish in my opinion. On the other hand I guess it’s a statement apparel and Genevieve looks nice. So I’ll say that with everything put together she kinda pulls it off.

Beverly Naya in April By Kunbi. It’s a simply black evening gown. She looks lovely in it and I love the detail on the body.

NOW THE MEN!

Dbanj! Nice suit but not feeling the piece of jewelry against that collar. What’s up with that collar though? Looks a tad out of place like he was gently roughed up. Hmmm Kokomaster I’m suspecting you. LOL.

Ebuka looks dapper in this black slim cut suit. His usual suit look.

I do like what Praise is wearing despite the criticism. I must say that for the look his going for that he did pull it off.

Dare looks nice! Its just that its almost as if his chest wants to explode through that jacket.

That’s all folks. Thanks for reading.
